Jumping Shell Game Overview

In Jumping Shell, your main mechanic revolves around a double-jump, allowing you to shed your shell to reach new heights or access difficult areas. And it’s more than just jumping – when you are no longer in your shell, you are free to use your shell to interact with items on the level; to trigger switches or buttons, block hazards, and create paths where a double-jump is not possible.

Each level adds new complexities requiring creative solutions, timing, and coordination. Jumping Shell boasts an elegant, minimalist style, combined with the advancing complexity of puzzles, embracing platforming elements, and a unique jumping mechanic, to create a memorable experience.

Controls of Jumping Shell

• Move Left/Right – ← / → or A / D
• Jump – ↑ or W
• Double-Jump / Shed Shell – Tap jump once to jump, tap again to shed shell

Gameplay Mechanics

The Jumping Shell double-jump mechanism allows your character to jump higher; however, it does require you to shed a shell that provides protection.

The shells survive in the world and can:

• Trigger pressure plates and switches
• Block lasers or other hazards
• Create platforms to have access to places you can't reach without a double-jump.

You can re-enter a shell by moving into its position, and you can regain protection and prepare for another double-jump.
