Welcome back to a world of brave treasure hunters and cursed temples. In Temple Run 2, every second counts. You’ve taken the sacred idol—now run for your life! This time you'll be fleeing from the evil demon monkey across amazing cliffs, beautiful jungles, crumbling ruins, and even through perilous mine tracks!
The sequel builds upon the engaging formula of the first Temple Run 2 game, featuring improved graphics, more complex obstacles, and enhanced abilities for characters. You’ll be overcoming fiery pits, avoiding animals, and swinging across gaps, all the while getting your adrenaline pumping and reflexes tuned!

[↓] or [S] – Slide under fallen trees and swinging axes
[→] or [D] – Turn right at sharp corners
[←] or [A] – Turn left
Tilt Device/swipe (mobile) – Move side to side to collect coins or avoid obstacles
Key Gaming Components
- New Dynamic Environments: Although Temple Run 2 has added many environments, some of them include: all-new twisting mine shafts and ziplines through waterfalls. New maps are created uniquely for each update!
- Chase by Demon Monkeys: That’s right, the beasts are chasing you! One false move and the creatures are on you, so keep running!
- Collect Coins & Power-ups: Collect gold coins to unlock new characters and use power-ups; timing your use of power-ups like the Shield, Coin Magnet, and Boost to survive.
- Unique Character Abilities: Each character you can choose from has a unique ability, and each character is different! (for exampl, Scarlett Fox, Barry Bones, and Karma Lee.) Be considerate about which character you pick and how you will level up their powers!
- Daily Challenges & Objectives: Every day, there are new challenges (or objectives) so you can earn extra rewards and keep leveling up your abilities!
So what’s new?
- Volcano Island Map: Lava is everywhere! Run through temples filled with collapsing bridges, or floats on molten lava, in one of the craziest and intense wipeout events in the Temple Run 2 game!
- Frozen Shadows: What are you talking about? A snowy and frost-covered landscape with some slippery paths that won't last! This environment is going this way, and it could be chilly!
- Mine Cart action: Jump into a Mine Cart and go through fast, easy mine cart segments, some of the game's fastest and most intense reflex-driven segments!
- Seasonal Events & Skins: Depending on the season, you will cross over with characters, skins, and maps. Players can select from a variety of limited-time characters that could cross over with a variety of global events or every seasonal event.
